Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly believes that former boss Graham Potter can still coach at the highest level.
Koulibaly and his teammates may feel as though they let down Potter this season.
The English coach was sacked after being hired with the season already underway, replacing Thomas Tuchel.
The 47-year-old has already lost his job, with Frank Lampard in interim charge until the summer.
Speaking to The Times, Koulibaly said: "I sent [Potter] a message. He helped me a lot.
“It was difficult for me at first, changing country and moving everything after eight years [at Napoli] and I can tell him thank you.
“He'll have a good future."
