Chelsea defender Tomas Kalas would welcome a return to Middlesbrough next season.

The 21-year-old Czech Republic international played the final game of his loan spell at Norwich on Friday evening, but admitted he would welcome another spell on Teesside if Jose Mourinho chose to send him out on loan.

Kalas told the Northern Echo: "I've really enjoyed my time here and I really want to come back. If I have that option [next season], I will take it.

"I'm glad I've been able to come to Middlesbrough, and I want to say thank you to the coach, the staff and everyone involved in the club for making me feel at home. Hopefully, we will meet again next season."
