He told De Gelderlander: "I have sometimes suffered from homesickness. I miss my family, friends. My dog. They come occasionally to Netherlands. But I just need to see it through.
"I am a professional. Arnhem, Vitesse. That should be my home.
"It's nice here. Everyone speaks English, that's fine. And I'm busy learning Dutch. I practice every day. It's hard, but I'm picking it up slowly."
