Chelsea defender Christensen on Real Madrid draw: We should've had day off

Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen admitted some frustration after their 1-1 draw at Real Madrid.

Chelsea were in Madrid last night for the first-leg of their Champions League semifinal.

AC later said to TV3, "There has not been so much time between matches. We had an incredibly tough match against West Ham three days ago, which took a lot of effort.

"We tried to do as we should. We started with good energy and we should have been up by two or three goals after the first 25 minutes, because we had an incredible number of good chances where we should have been a little sharper. We only allowed them one shot on goal, but they scored from it.

"The rain was also a big factor, and it became very, very heavy, because the track got really wet, and it also took a lot of effort. We ran a bit dead in the last ten minutes, so we might as well have just spent an extra day off between matches.

"But we can actually be satisfied, and we fought as a team, which is also something we have to be good at."
