Chelsea have allowed defender Ryan Bertrand to extend his loan stay at Norwich until the end of the campaign. The 19-year-old, who also had a loan spell at Carrow Road last season, has made 20 appearances this term but was due to return to Stamford Bridge in the New Year.
Canaries boss Glenn Roeder told the club's official website: "I am delighted to have secured Ryan until the end of the season.
"We were just waiting as there were some questions regarding Chelsea registering Ryan for the Champions League but that has been resolved.
"I am really pleased because we simply could not afford to buy a player of his quality and that's one less headache for us to consider in January."
