Chelsea defender Abdul Rahman Baba facing loan confusion at Mallorca

Chelsea defender Abdul Rahman Baba is facing a confusing time at Real Mallorca.

The Sun says Baba could be left in no mans land as his Real Mallorca loan expires on the same day as his Chelsea contract.

The Ghanaian signed for the Blues back in 2015 but has made just 23 appearances for the West Londoners - the last on May 15, 2016.

The 25-year-old has been loaned out four times since including two spells with Schalke, one with French side Reims and the latest with Real Mallorca.

Despite having played just three times for the LaLiga side this season the Spanish club will contact Chelsea for permission to extend the deal to the end of the rescheduled Spanish season, according to Ghanasoccernet.

Rahman's loan deal expires on June 30 - the same day as his Chelsea contract - but the LaLiga campaign kicks off again today with Mallorca not playing until they host Barcelona on Saturday.
