Chelsea consider rivaling Spurs for Burnley boss Kompany

Burnley boss Vincent Kompany is on Chelsea's shortlist.

Chelsea are working through their list of candidates for the manager's job after dismissing Graham Potter a fortnight ago.

Frank Lampard is currently in charge on a caretaker basis to the end of the season.

As they conduct interviews with free agents, Chelsea also are considering in-work managers.

The Times says Chelsea directors are keen to set up talks with Kompany.

The 37-year-old Belgian took charge of the Clarets following their relegation from the Premier League last summer and has led Burnley straight back into the top-flight in his first season at the helm.

The Manchester City legend is also interesting Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.
