Chelsea are considering triggering the buy-back option in Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake's contract.
Ake was sold by Chelsea to the Cherries three years ago, with the deal including a buy-back clause in the region of £40m.
Goal says Chelsea boss Frank Lampard wants to sign a new centre-half this summer and Ake is now under consideration.
While having splashed out over £90m on Timo Werner (RB Leipzig) and Hakim Ziyech (Ajax), Chelsea still have cash available to stiffen Lampard's defence.
And it's claimed the return of Ake is now being actively discussed inside Stamford Bridge.
