Multiple reports suggest that the Blues will soon strengthen their defence by paying £3.5million for the New York Red Bulls star.
20-year-old centre-back Miazga is one of the hottest prospects in the US right now and has recently been scouted by Chelsea's Premier League rivals Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City.
But it appears as though the reigning Premier League champions will win the race for New Jersey native Miazga provided the club can give assurances of regular opportunities.
The Daily Mail suggests USA national team boss Jurgen Klinsmann does not want Miazga, who has a Polish passport, sitting on the bench and would rather see him remain in MLS if Chelsea cannot give him frequent minutes.
However, the chance to develop his game with the Premier League giants is certainly an attractive opportunity for the Red Bulls academy product who made his US debut in November last year.
