Chelsea are close to tying Fiyako Tomori down to a new contract.

Tomori has emerged as a genuine first-team player this season after loan spells with Derby County, Brighton and Hull City.

He has made 16 appearances across all competitions for Frank Lampard's side.

And now the club are set to reward the England international with a new contract, claims Goal, who says the talks have been undergoing for several months.

The Blues are making a concerted effort to tie down their young talent who have thrived this season under Lampard.
