Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta spoke about the work ethic of manager Frank Lampard.

The former Chelsea midfielder is now in charge at the club, as he hopes to steer them into a new era.

While results have been indifferent since the start of the season, Azpilicueta believes the work ethic of everyone at the club will see them improve.

"Frank and his staff have been working very hard alongside us since the first day in July," the Spaniard told the club's official website.

"The only thing we had in our minds was to play with high intensity, to control the games, to win the games, so obviously when you don't get the results you have been working on and with the performances we had, we have been disappointed.

"But we had a lot of confidence in ourselves. We knew that all the work, it could pay off any day and this time it was the case."
