Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta says he has no regrets signing a new deal.
Azpilicueta chose to resist a move to Barcelona to remain with Chelsea and pen a new contract.
He said, "This is my home, I have never made the selfish decision to leave, I have always remained busy with the club and it's been like that from day one.
"After the Club World Cup I shared my feelings about a possible departure, but there were never any problems with the contract and salary, only regarding the situation of the club which, however, changed with the arrival of a new owner.
"We have had honest conversations with the new owners and I am really proud to continue to be the captain of Chelsea and I look forward to being one for the next few years."
