Chelsea boss Tuchel predicts Werner goals imminent after impactful Sheffield Utd display

Thomas Tuchel believes goals are not far away for Timo Werner after the German's energetic performance against Sheffield United on Sunday.

Werner nabbed an assist and won a decisive penalty for Chelsea that helped them clinch a 2-1 victory at Bramall Lane.

The 24-year-old has not scored in three months, but Tuchel thinks it won't be long before that streak is broken.

"When he plays like this we are happy it was a big step forward," Tuchel said of Werner.

"He won the decisive pen against Spurs and tonight, for the first goal it was an amazing run and assist. Goals will come if he carries on like this.

"He was unlucky with some shots there. Today he has a boost of self confidence and gives a good assist for the first goal.

"He was brave enough to go around the keeper for the second. I am happy for him. We hope to get everybody in good shape. For the strikers it is important that they are involved goals. You can feel this in the last few games.
