Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was key to PSG signing Ander Herrera two years ago.

Herrera's father admitted last week that he was in contact with Barcelona as his contract ran down at Manchester United, but in the end he joined PSG in a Bosman transfer.

L'Equipe says while former PSG chief Antero Henrique was involved, then Parisien coach Tuchel was the biggest influence on the deal.

A personal one-on-one meeting between Tuchel and Herrera was enough to convince the Spaniard to commit to a five-year PSG contract.

This season, Herrera has been among PSG's best performers as they boast a 100 per cent record in Ligue Une.
