Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel wants to keep hold of Billy Gilmour today.

The Daily Mail says the chances of Billy Gilmour leaving Chelsea on loan before the transfer window closes are decreasing.

Thomas Tuchel left the promising 19-year-old Scot out of his first two matchday squads but has been impressed with him in training.

Southampton had been keen on securing a loan move for Gilmour until the end of the season.

Gilmour was highly rated by Frank Lampard and the sacked boss's departure will have been concerning for him.

The teenage talent is battling established names such as Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho for a role in midfield and is now working to convince Tuchel he deserves a place in the heart of midfield.
