Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has confirmed he's entered new contract talks.
The German last signed a contract extension following Chelsea's Champions League triumph just over a year ago, a deal which sees him through to the summer of 2024.
When quizzed on whether fresh talks to extend his contract have taken place in recent months, Tuchel did reveal that discussions have been held with the club's hierarchy, even if they are at the earliest of stages.
"There are talks, but I think given the situation where we come from and where we are right now, in the middle of the transfer period, I think it is for the best if I focus on my team and being competitive," Tuchel said, with a smile.
"You know how glad I am to be here and how much I like it. It is a good thing."
He added, "Nobody questions my passion and how happy I am to be here and to fight. My love for the group, and I see myself as part of this group and I am happy that we have the support of the fans because we need them. They make such a difference."
