Chelsea boss Sarri plays down title chances after Cardiff rout

Chelsea ace Eden Hazard hit a hat-trick as they defeated Cardiff City 4-1 on Saturday.

Cardiff had the audacity to take the lead at Stamford Bridge through Sol Bamba's early goal, but it was the Hazard show from then on in as the Belgian superstar scored a hat-trick to send Chelsea to the top of the table.

Hazard started and finished a fine move for the equaliser and put Chelsea ahead just before half time, before completing his hat-trick with a second half penalty. Willian added the fourth as Maurizio Sarri's men moved above Liverpool on goal difference.

Despite the victory, Sarri was reluctant to talk up their title chances.

"No, I cannot change my mind for one match," he responded. "I think at this moment Liverpool and Man City are another step ahead of us but I think we can improve. My target is to be the best team in England but not in one month, maybe one season, maybe a little more, but that is our target. At the moment, in my opinion, Liverpool and Man city are better than us.

"At this moment we are very dangerous in the offensive phase but not as solid as I want in the defensive phase. Today we knew Cardiff were very dangerous from set-pieces and we were not ready to answer, but we need to improve and we can improve very quickly."
