Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is angry by their fixtures pile-up ahead of meeting Manchester City today.
The Blues are facing the prospect of seven games in 21 days involving three different competitions in a period which could well decide whether their season ends up being a success or a failure.
“It's a lot," said boss Sarri. “Especially if you have to play very prestige matches — twice against Manchester City, one against Tottenham, one against Manchester United.
“Then the Europa League [home and away ties against Malmo in the last 32 on the next two Thursdays], so it's a little too much."
Sarri's men are still looking for their first away win of 2019.
But he said: “I don't know if there's a reason for it, I don't think so. At the beginning of the season we won more away than at home.
“At the moment, it's not a statistic. We need to wait one month more. I want to see the results away for a long time, not for three or four matches."
