Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has informed veteran Gary Cahill that he can leave the club if he finds a suitable team.
Cahill has only featured in a single Premier League game, which was off the bench.
He is not a key member of the squad in Sarri's eyes. And the Italian wants to make it easy for the English centre-back to find a situation that lets him play more often.
Calciomercato reports that Milan are the club that will be showing a serious interest in the January window, as they are facing an injury crisis in the central defence.
Championship club Aston Villa is another possible landing spot for the 32-year-old.
