Chelsea boss Potter: Real Madrid draw is exciting

Chelsea manager Graham Potter has spoken about a number of topics during his pre-match press conference.

As the Blues prepare to take on Everton in the Premier League at the weekend, Potter spoke about the team's improved form and present momentum.

He also outlined the challenge of taking on Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter finals.

He stated on Real: “The feeling is excitement but I'd rather speak about Everton right now as that's the game tomorrow. The other stuff is far away."

He added on his own demeanor recently, referencing a recent fan event: “It was a nice event in front of 1000 or so supporters. The atmosphere was good. It was a good evening. Results give everyone belief and happiness. And we're here to win."

On overcoming doubts about his suitability for the role, he added: “It's a difficult moment for us all because results weren't what we wanted. If results aren't good enough, I accept that, and you have to come through the tough moments."

Potter then finished on the team's improved form: “You need luck. As much as you can be good, it's important to be lucky. But you can't wait for that to come around. Sometimes you have to fight through the storm. We've come out of it with three wins but we need to carry it on."
