Chelsea boss Graham Potter is impressed with AC Milan and ex-Chelsea front man Olivier Giroud.

The Blues face arguably their toughest opponent in the Champions League group stages on Wednesday.

The London club will know they must get points in this game if they are to progress to the knockout stages.

Asked about Milan and Giroud pre-game, Potter stated in his press conference:

“I've been really impressed. There is a clear idea of how they want to attack and defend.

“They have different ways to score and Giroud is someone Chelsea know very well. He is a fantastic player, plays the game in a really good way, uses his qualities and strengths and is an important player for AC Milan.

“I'm looking forward to playing the game. They are a top team and we have to be really good to get the result we want."
