Chelsea head coach Graham Potter has spoken about whether January signing David Datro Fofana will play for the first team this season.

The 20-year-old has arrived at the club from Molde in Norway, but is not yet certain of where his immediate future lies.

Potter will have to decide whether Fofana plays first team games, spends time with the Under-21s, or goes out on loan.

"We still need to wait for the clearances and all those formalities," Potter said in his pre-match press conference ahead of their Premier League clash with Manchester City.

"He's been on a bit of a break so we'll give him some time to train, to assess him, and then work out the best solution in terms of taking the next step in his career."
