Chelsea boss Potter admits Sterling still not fully fit

Chelsea boss Graham Potter has confirmed that Raheem Sterling is still not fully fit.

The winger was not involved in their last game against West Ham United, while he is also absent for their Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund this week.

Sterling, N'Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic are among those who are absent from Potter's matchday squad.

The Blues boss said in his press conference on Tuesday: "We trained today, so the players who were out of the good had a good session. They'll have a free day tomorrow and then we'll be back training on Thursday.

“So they'll be ready. Raheem, NG, and Christian Pulisic will be working their way back at Cobham. Everyone has been absolutely fine."

Potter added: "All of the three [Wesley Fofana, Mateo Kovacic and Denis Zakaria] are in the squad so that's good. Like I said before the previous game they were getting closer to minutes.

“The challenge for us is to build them up and to make sure they're right from a gametime perspective but it's good that Wesley, Mateo and Denis are with the group."
