Chelsea boss Mourinho: Van Gaal career has been perfect

Chelsea boss Joe Mourinho has paid tribute to Manchester United rival Louis van Gaal.

Mourinho paid tribute to Van Gaal, who says he will retire once his time in charge at Old Trafford comes to an end.

He said: "If I don't stop and if I think I want to work 15 or 20 more years, it's because I feel that happiness.

"I think Van Gaal has had a fantastic career.

"I know that he had a dream to coach his country in a World Cup and he did that.

"He coached, with huge success, the club of his heart, AZ Alkmaar and, of course, Ajax, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

"And he won the league title with them all.

"His career is perfect, his career is beautiful. He deserves to stop when he wants."
