Chelsea boss Mourinho ready to bring back Drogba

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is considering bringing Didier Drogba back to the club. The London Evening Standard says the 36-year-old, who is out of contract after 18 months in Turkey with Galatasaray, scored 179 Premier League goals during an eight-year spell at Stamford Bridge and could be offered a sensational return.

Blues boss Mourinho knows the striker well from his first stint in west London and said in March Drogba would one day 'have to return' to Chelsea in some capacity.

And Mourinho is interested in handing the Ivorian a player-coach role, but will face stiff competition.

Drogba is generating interest from clubs in Qatar and has also been linked with both Juventus and Marseille.
