Chelsea boss Frank Lampard says he won't play youngsters for the sake of it.
With Tammy Abraham (21), Jake Clarke-Salter (21), Fikayo Tomori (21), Mason Mount (20), Reece James (19) and Ethan Ampadu (18) to manage and a transfer ban to navigate, there is an assumption this will be the making of youth at Chelsea.
Lampard says: "For young players it's a two-way street.
"You have to do everything you can to improve to show you have enough to play in the team. And as a manager you want to be able to have an open door for any young player who shows that."
