Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has overseen the breaking of an academy record for the club this season.
So far this season eight Academy graduates have made their first team debut: Mason Mount, Billy Gilmour, Ian Maatsen, Tino Anjorin, Reece James, Marc Guehi, Tariq Lamptey, and Armando Broja.
That is the most ever since Billy Birrell launched his Chelsea Juniors scheme in the 1940s, surpassing the seven handed out by Ken Shellito and Danny Blanchflower in the 1978/79 season.
Ted Drake also introduced six academy graduates in the 1956/57 season.
Albania U21 international Broja became debutant number eight as a substitute in the 4-0 defeat of Everton last week.
