Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is in the market for a new goalkeeper, it has been revealed.
The Daily Express says Chelsea are looking to sign another top class goalkeeper – to challenge for the No1 spot with the underperforming Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Chelsea goalkeeper Arrizabalaga came under criticism from Lampard for his performance in the disappointing 2-2 draw with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, and he was blamed by some for Hector Bellerin's equaliser.
Arrizabalaga, 25, also came in for criticism for his part in the defeat at Newcastle on Saturday.
Chelsea will not sell Arrizabalaga, who they bought for nearly £72 million in 2018, but if they can bring in a new keeper, both would challenge for the No. 1 slot.
Current No.2, Willy Caballero, 38, is out of contract at the end of the season. He will though play in Saturday's FA Cup fourth round tie at Hull.
Meanwhile, young goalkeeper Jamal Blackman has joined Bristol Rovers on loan.
