Chelsea boss Lampard: Gilmour to see Sevilla action

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is delighted with what he's seen from Billy Gilmour since the Scot's return to fitness.

The 19-year-old Scot, is yet to make an appearance this term after recovering from a knee injury, however that could be about to change with him in the squad for their Champions League clash with Sevilla.

"He is fit now. He could probably do with some more match minutes which are hard to get in covid times," Lampard said.

“He is in the squad tomorrow, it would be nice if he could get some minutes in the remaining two Champions League group games.

"I hopefully see him coming back at the level he was at before he got injured. He made a great impact and there will be so much more to come from him at this club because of the talent he has.

"He is looking spot on and will come in to compete with the other players in that midfield area."
