Chelsea boss Frank Lampard are battling a crowded field to land Napoli striker Dries Mertens.

Mundo Deportivo says Chelsea are likely to face competition to sign Mertens this summer after two more clubs joined the race for the Napoli forward.

Lampard has been tracking the Belgian since January and the 32-year-old looks set to depart the Partenopei after seven years after contract talks broke down, with Inter Milan showing interest.

But Atletico Madrid and PSG are also interested in capturing Mertens on a free transfer, which could make Chelsea's task more difficult in convincing him to move to the Premier League.
