Chelsea boss Frank Lampard says Carlo Ancelotti will have his pick of clubs after his sacking by Napoli last night.
Ancelotti was shown the door despite a 4-0 victory against Genk in the Champions League on Tuesday which saw the Serie A side through to the knockout stages.
Tension at the club had been brewing for months but Italian coach Ancelotti - who has already been linked with the vacant posts at Arsenal and Everton - can work anywhere, according to Lampard.
"I have huge respect for him, I am very sorry for him," sad Lampard, who played under Ancelotti at Chelsea for two years between 2009 and 2011.
"I know it was a tough job for him lately. I saw his interview before the game and I thought it was a very typically classy interview in what seemed a very tough time for him. He always handles himself brilliantly.
"I think he can work anywhere in the world at the top level, of course."
