Chelsea manager Frank Lampard admits that Tammy Abraham needed his goal against Crystal Palace.
The young attacker broke his drought stretching back to January 11 to help his team to a 3-2 win and third place in the Premier League.
Abraham is under pressure for next season with the Blues signing Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
And Lampard was pleased for the youngster after the Palace game.
"It will be really important for Tammy because he is desperate for goals," Lampard told the media.
"He hadn't scored for a while. It helps his confidence and it is good for me. It gives me other options.
"He came on late in the game, he scores the winning goal and I'm pleased for my strikers."
