Chelsea are in contact with Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal.

La Cuarta in Chile says Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has spoke with the midfielder on the phone about a move to Stamford Bridge, declaring England would be the best place for him.

Conte has made no secret of his admiration of Vidal, recently claiming "he'd go to war' with him.

The duo spent three seasons together at Juventus between 2011-2014, where the Old Lady won consecutive Serie A titles.

Bild have also claimed that Conte has approached Vidal over a possible switch to reunite with him in West London.

The two-time Copa America winner knows he can up his salary from £6.6million-a-year, to well over £13m.
