Chelsea boss Ancelotti adamant Cole will stay

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has reaffirmed his belief that Ashley Cole wants to stay.

The England left-back is a £20million target for Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid.

But Stamford Bridge boss Ancelotti is adamant Cole, 29, won't be moving to Spain.

Ancelotti, ahead of today's friendly away to Frankfurt, said: "I didn't need to have a meeting with him because myself and the club have been very clear about the fact that Ashley is a Chelsea player and will remain a Chelsea player.

"His quality is that he's the best left-back in the world. He has given me no indications he wants to leave.

"All my internationals are now back. It's been a good week."
