Chelsea are in contact with Napoli attacker Dries Mertens.

The veteran Belgium international is off contract in June and talks over a new deal with Napoli have stalled.

Il Mattino says Mertens' minders have made contact with several interested clubs and proposed a package of €6m-a-year plus bonuses for him to move.

Those sounded out are Chelsea, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid.

Mertens, 32, has scored 12 goals in 29 games so far this season.
