Chelsea have assured Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy they are not interested in manager Harry Redknapp.
The London Evening Standard says Levy contacted senior officials at Stamford Bridge in a bid to flush out any interest in the Spurs manager succeeding Carlo Ancelotti.
Levy was reassured that the Blues are not keen on making a formal approach for Redknapp, who had reportedly been sounded out through private channels over the position following a breakdown in communication with his chairman.
Redknapp is understood to have indicated he will not leave Spurs for Chelsea, who had also registered a firm interest in attempting to lure Spurs' chief scout Ian Broomfield.
