Chelsea, Arsenal alerted as Bailey pushes Bayer Leverkusen exit

Both Chelsea and Arsenal are showing serious interest in Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey.

The Sun reports that Bailey's representatives are set to open talks with the German club as they attempt to seek an exit for their client.

Bailey wants to leave the Bundesliga, with the Premier League his preferred destination.

Any move would cost in the region of £40 million.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal are in the market for a winger. The Gunners have a shortage in the area, while Chelsea could be about to lose Eden Hazard to Real Madrid.

The 20-year-old Bailey is contracted to Leverkusen until 2022.
