Chelsea appoint new coaching chief

Premier League giants Chelsea are continuing to make behind the scenes changes.

The London-based side have made an appointment to their back-room team this week.

Per The Mail, the Blues are recruiting Jim Hicks from the PFA as the club's head of coach development.

He is slated to join the Blues in the coming weeks, with Hicks set to work with coaches from the under-15 to under-21 level.

Chelsea want to ensure they have a setup in place where they are nurturing the young talent they sign.

The club has used their academy to great effect in recent years to generate money to spend on new players.
