Chelsea ace Kai Havertz says he's ready to pay his own way to Champions League opponents Lille.

With Chelsea seized by the UK government, there's restrictions on how much can be spent on travel.

Havertz said today: "I would pay it, it's not a problem.

"That isn't a big deal. For us to come to the games is the most important thing.

"There are harder things in the world right now than if we have to take the bus or plane to an away game."

He continued: “We are all professionals. Everyone knows it's a strange situation for everyone at the club. We are the players and we have to focus on the matches. That's all we can do. The other stuff the club has to sort out themselves. It's not for the players.

"I can't speak about it too much because we are focused on the games and that is what is important for us at the moment.

“We are professionals and sometimes situations like this can happen.," he added.

"It's not easy for us, for the whole club and the fans. What we can do is play good football and try to give the fans a smile in this situation. As we showed at the weekend, we can handle these situations."
