Chelsea ace Eden Hazard was stunned by the jeers from Belgian home fans at the end of their friendly defeat to Spain.
It marked a losing debut for new Belgium coach Roberto Martinez.
On the jeers, Hazard remarked: "It was indeed a long time ago that something like this has happened.
"We are entering a new era, so it's a bit sad that it must begin like this. We had expected greater support, even though we did not play a good match. People should not forget how we all have performed in the past.
"It's not been very nice, so I hope they do support us massively in the next home game. It's a shame because we'd hoped to play a good game today, but that did not happen."
