Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has revealed he's in regular contact with Barcelona ace Lionel Messi.

Cesc admits he's spoken with Messi since he suffered his groin injury on Wednesday during their 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid.

"I spoke to Messi yesterday and he told me he was okay. The truth is I have not noticed him worried," Cesc told Sport.

Following the controversial statements of Argentina coach Edgardo Bauza, who slammed Barca's injury management of Messi, Cesc added: "Barca is the only club in the world who knows how to take care of Messi."

Messi's injury is expected to keep him sidelined for three weeks.
