Chelsea and West Ham United are moving closer to a deal on Kurt Zouma.

According to The Athletic, the Hammers have met the Blues' £26 million asking price for the French centre-back.

However, the 26-year-old wants an increase on his £125,000-a-week pay packet to move to the London Stadium club.

That would be a higher salary than anyone in David Moyes' squad, which is something they may be unwilling to offer to Zouma.

The defender may have to lower his demands, or accept a season on the sidelines with Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea.
