Chelsea '100 per cent' committed to signing new striker; Rice midfield priority

Chelsea are 100 percent committed to securing a new centre-forward this summer.

That is the opinion of transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, who spoke about a few of the club's priorities in the transfer window.

The Blues, who won the Champions League last season, are fully backing manager Thomas Tuchel in the market.

They have been linked to the likes of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham ace Harry Kane and Inter Milan star Romelu Lukaku.

On his Twitch account, Romano said about Chelsea: He said: "One hundred per cent, Chelsea will sign a new striker this summer."

He also suggested the club will go after West Ham United and England midfielder Declan Rice.

Romano added: "At the moment, Chelsea's priority in midfield is Declan Rice.

"If they will sign a midfielder, Declan Rice will be one of the biggest possibilities.

"Then, they have to find an agreement with West Ham, and it won't be easy because West Ham are asking for a lot of money for him.

"We have to keep an eye on [Aurelien] Tchouameni as a possibility for many Premier League clubs, not just for Chelsea.

"We will see. At the moment there's nothing imminent."
