Che Adams hopes for Southampton debut today

Che Adams hopes to see action for Southampton today against friendly opponents SCR Altach.

The Daily Echo says Adams is expected to pull on a Saints shirt for the first time in the game in Austria and will be aiming to show what he can do.

Though Hasenhuttl is a big admirer of Adams, he also has plenty of competition for places up front with Danny Ings, Michael Obafemi and Shane Long also vying for a spot in the team.

There could also be match time for defensive pair Wesley Hoedt and Cedric Soares.

The Dutch centre half and Portuguese right back were farmed out on loan for the second half of last season but have returned to the squad for the trip to Austria.
