The owners of Charlton Athletic have sensationally said that some supporters are intent on the club failing after protests during their 2-0 win over Middlesbrough on Sunday.
The struggling Addicks are deep in relegation trouble at the foot of the Championship with fans staging mock protests before and during the game at the The Valley.
A club statement read: "This is a confused approach. Following this logic leads to exactly the opposite of what we all want: staying in the Championship.
Last Sunday, some individuals did not come to the Valley to watch the game and support the team, but came to create disorder on the pitch and interfere with the players and the game".
Charlton are 23rd and 5 points adrift of safety with their next fixture coming at Play-off chasing Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
