Chelsea defender Ian Maatsen is set for a loan move away.

South London News reports Maatsen is set to join Charlton on loan on a season-long loan.

The young Dutchman will head to The Valley to gain some more first-team experience after making his debut last season in the Carabao Cup.

The 18-year-old follows former academy stars Jay Dasilva and Conor Gallagher in moving on loan to the League One outfit from Stamford Bridge.

Maatsen tasted first team football under manager Frank Lampard last season.
