Stephy Mavididi has returned to parent club Arsenal after suffering a season-ending injury while on loan at Charlton Athletic.
The 18-year-old forward tore his hamstring in Saturday's home defeat to Bury and is expected to miss the remainder of the campaign with the Addicks.
Mavididi featured five times in League One for Charlton, impressing manager Karl Robinson.
"He saw a specialist last night and he's set for an operation at the start of next week, but it will keep him out for between 14-16 weeks," Robinson told the club's official website.
"He's been in tears which is sickening because he's been tremendous for us and we wish him all the best.
"He'a been a credit to his family and to Arsenal FC and we'd love to have him back next year."
