Everton striker Conor McAleny has seen his loan with Charlton Athletic cut short.
McAleny was meant to be with the Addicks until after this weekend's game with Sheffield Wednesday but he has returned to Everton, says News Shopper.
Charlton's interim head coach Karel Fraeye has been quoted as saying: “They are not down, everyone was very disappointed [after the last two results] but we know the only way is to look forward and work hard and the players are willing to do that.
“If players don't want to do it I'm not going to use them.
“In that case we ended the contract of Conor McAleny today so it needed to give an example."
