Charlie Nicholas: Why Man City do NOT need to buy new striker

Former Arsenal striker Charlie Nicholas says Manchester City do not need to buy a new forward.

Nicholas feels they can manage their injury hit squad through a comfortable Christmas schedule.

"I wonder if City have got the funds at the moment. I know their financials are starting to go in the right direction and they're getting the debt down but I don't see them going to splash the cash for a striker," Nicholas told Sky Sports.

"Their next hardest game is January 10 when they go to Everton, all of the other games are winnable. They have four, including today's game, which are at home out of the next six.

"All of a sudden they're getting results without one of world's best strikers, and this is a results business, so I don't see them signing a striker."
