Charlie Adam believes that Tieran Kierney should make the move from Celtic to Arsenal.
The former Liverpool and Rangers man understands the desire for a player to participate in the Premier League.
He believes that at 22, Tierney is in the right moment of his career to make a step up to another level.
Adam said to reporters: "I think it's probably now time for him to leave Celtic. It's the next progression for his career.
"Seeing how well [ex-Dundee United left-back] Andrew Robertson's progressed at Liverpool, as a player you've got to be thinking, 'I want some of that.'
"He's [Tierney] done amazing at Celtic, winning the treble treble. It's going to be difficult for him to leave because he is a big Celtic fan.
"If Arsenal do want him, they'll have to pay serious money for him."
